CBSE Class 12 Practical Exam Day Instructions 2026
Every year, CBSE publishes guidelines and SOPs to be followed while appearing for the practical exams. Check out some exam day guidelines below for a smooth conclusion of the exam:
- CBSE will appoint external examiners in each school to conduct the practical exam.
- CBSE may appoint observers in the school to oversee the conduct of the practical exam.
- The school shall also appoint an internal examiner with adequate experience and expertise.
- The school must keep the laboratory ready for the practical exam, and the external examiner shall visit the laboratory at least one day before the exam.
- The practical exam shall be conducted for 30 students in a single batch. The schools may consider splitting the batch of students into subgroups of 15 students each. The first subgroup of 15 students may attend the lab work while the other is doing pen & paper work, and vice versa.
- The schools are required to upload the photographs of the examination/assessment.
- In case you are absent for the exam, the practical will be rescheduled according to the CBSE schedule only, and no further date will be assigned.
