CBSE Class 12 Geography Sample Paper 2023-24 is now available on the official website of the Central Board of Secondary Education. CBSE authorities release the sample papers at the beginning of the academic year to help the students get information about the CBSE Class 12 Exam Pattern 2023-24. The duration of the Geography paper will be 3 hours. 15 minutes will be allotted to the students to read the question paper. It is compulsory to attempt all the questions included in the question paper. Along with the sample question papers, students can also download the CBSE Class 12 Geography Syllabus 2023-24 and the marking scheme uploaded on the official website. Solving question papers is a great way to check the level of preparation that you have done for the board exams.
After downloading and attempting the sample papers, go through the marking schemes to check the correct answers to all the questions included in the paper. The geography paper is divided into 5 sections. There may be internal choices in the question paper however it is not confirmed. The total mark allotted for the theory paper is 70. How To Download CBSE Class 12 Geography Sample Paper 2023-24?
Students can also visit the official website of CBSE Academics to download the CBSE Class 12 Sample Paper 2023-24 by themselves. You have to follow the simple procedure given below to download your sample papers and revise for the CBSE Class 12 Board 2024 exams:
- Step 1: You will first have to visit the official website of CBSE Academics at cbseacademic.nic.in
- Step 2: The home page will open on your screen where you have to click on the option called Sample Question Paper displayed on the menu bar.
- Step 3: A drop-down menu will appear. You have to click on the option called SQP 2023-2024.
- Step 4: Now click on the option called Class XII.
- Step 5: A new page with a list of subjects will open on your screen where you can click on the SQP option to download the question paper and the MS option to download the marking scheme.

CBSE Class 12 Geography Sample Paper Pattern 2024
- The question paper will include 30 questions, which will be compulsory.
- There will be five sections in question paper including sections A, B, C, D, and E.
- Section A will include 1 mark questions from question number 1 to 17. These will be Multiple Choice type questions.
- Section B will have 3 marks questions. The question number 18 and 19 will be source-based questions.
- Section C will include short answer type questions of 3 marks each. Students should write 80 to 100 words for each of them.
- Section D consists of long answer type questions from 24 to 28. The answers can be written in 120 to 150 words.
- Section E will have Map-based questions.
