CBSE Class 12 Physics Sample Paper 2026: Structure

Some of the major points to note for the CBSE Class 12 Physics Sample Paper are as follows:

• A total of 3 hours will be there to complete the whole CBSE Class 12 Physics question paper.
• The CBSE Class 12 Physics question paper will contain a total of 33 questions, and all the questions are compulsory.
• The question paper will be divided into 5 sections: Section A, Section B, Section C, Section ,D and Section E.
• All the sections will be compulsory.
• Section A will comprise sixteen questions, twelve MCQ, and four Assertion Reasoning for 1 mark each, Section B will have five questions of two marks each, Section C will contain seven questions of three marks each, Section D will contain two case study questions of four marks each and Section E will have three long answer questions of five marks each.
• There will be no overall choice. However, an internal choice will be provided in one question in Section B, one question in Section C, one question in each CBQ in Section D, and all three questions in Section E. Students will have to attempt only one of the choices in such questions.
• The use of calculators will not be allowed.
