CBSE Class 10, 12 Date Sheet 2026 will be uploaded on the official website of CBSE on November 20, 2026. However, to give an exact idea regarding the exam date for both classes, CBSE has already released the indicative date sheet. The indicative date sheet was published along with the draft scheme according to which the class 10th exams will be conducted twice in one academic year. As per the indicative datesheet, class 10th first phase will be conducted from February 17 to March 6, 2026, and the second phase from May 5 to May 20, 2026. Class 12th exams will be conducted from February 17 to April 4, 2026.

CBSE Class 10 Date Sheet 2026 Phase 1

The Central Board of Secondary Education has issued a draft scheme that includes information about class 10th exams to be conducted twice from this academic year. CBSE Class 10, 12 Exam Timings 2026

• Exam timings for classes 10th and 12th are 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
• The duration for each paper will be two hours.
• 15 minutes will be provided as reading time.

CBSE Class 10, 12 Practical Exam Date Sheet 2026

Every year, the Central Board of Secondary Education holds the practical exams for classes 10th and 12th from 1st January. You must appear for the practical exams to pass. This year, since the CBSE class 10 theory papers are conducted twice, there is a bit of confusion regarding the practical exams among the students. According to the draft scheme published by the Central Board of Secondary Education, the practical exams for class 10th will only be conducted ONCE, unlike the theory exams.

• Step 1: You will first have to visit the official website of CBSE at cbse.gov.in
• Step 2: Click on the option called Main Website present on the homepage, and the main website will open on your screen.
• Step 3: Go to the Latest @ CBSE section.
• Step 4: You have to now click on the direct notification for “CBSE 10th, 12th Date Sheet 2026”
• Step 5: The PDF will open on your screen. Download the PDF and refer to the dates for preparations.

Instructions for CBSE Class 10th, 12th Board Exams 2026

Because of the large number of students who appear for CBSE Board Exams every year, a list of instructions is issued by CBSE for the smooth conclusion of the exams. These instructions include a list of items that are prohibited and permitted inside the exam centre. This list is to be taken very seriously, since breaking any rule may result in a severe punishment. If you are curious about the permitted/prohibited items, then read on:

List of Permitted Items

• Admit Card &School Identity Card (for regular students)
• Admit Card & Any Govt. Issued Photo Identity Proof (for Private Students)
• Stationery items, i.e., Transparent Pouch, Geometry/Pencil Box, Blue/Royal Blue Ink/Ball Point/Gel Pen, Scale, Writing Pad, Eraser.
• Analogue Watch, Transparent Water Bottle.
• Metro Card, Bus Pass, Money

List of Prohibited Items

• Any stationery item - such as textual material (printed or written), bits of paper, Calculator (Students with Learning Disability i.e., Dyscalculia, are permitted to use Ca alculator and are provided the same by Exam centre), Pen Drives, Calculator, Log Table (shall be provided by the centres), Electronic Pen/ Scanner, etc.
• Any communication devices - such as Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band, Smart Watch, Camera, etc.
• Other items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Pouches, etc.
• Any edible item opened or packed, except for diabetic students
• Any other item that could be used for unfair means
• If you are found using any of the items mentioned above the new will be liable for punishment according to the CBSE rules.

CBSE Class 12 Compartment Date Sheet 2026

The Central Board of Secondary Education has already informed about the CBSE Class 12 Compartment Exam Date 2026. The 12th supplementary exams will be conducted on July 15, 2026. The result for the same will be published on August 15, 2026. Check the date sheet below:
