CBSE 2nd Phase Exam 2026 will be conducted from May 15 to June 1, 2026. Instead of conducting compartment exams, the Central Board of Secondary Education has decided to conduct class 10th exams twice in one academic year from 2026. If you appeared in the first exam and wish to improve your score, then you can appear for the second exam. The second phase exam is also available for compartment students and those with special circumstances.

You cannot appear for the second phase exam if you were absent in 3 or more subjects in Phase 1. Currently, the LOC is submitted for the second phase exam since the CBSE Class 10 Result 2026 was already released on April 15, 2026.

Who is Eligible for the CBSE 10th 2nd Phase Exam 2026?

You are required to follow the guidelines given here to appear for the 2nd Phase exams:

• To appear for the second phase, you must have appeared for the first board exams.
• Students placed in the compartment category are eligible for the 2nd phase exams.
• Students appearing for their first or third chance compartment exam are also eligible.
• Students who passed Class 10 using a sixth subject replacement and now wish to improve are also eligible.
• Students under the UFM (Unfair Means) Category 1, if separately deemed eligible, can also appear.
• And lastly, sports quota students who have prior written approval from CBSE are eligible.
• You cannot appear for the second phase exam if you were absent in three or more subjects in the first board exams and if you were placed under the Essential Repeat (ER) category.

How to Download CBSE 2nd Phase Exam Date Sheet 2026?

To download the CBSE 2nd Phase Exam Date Sheet 2026, you need to follow the simple procedure given below:

• Step 1: You will first have to visit the official website of the Central Board of Secondary Education at cbse.gov.in/cbsenew/cbse.html
• Step 2: The home page will open on your screen, where you have to go to the “LATEST @ CBSE” section.
• Step 3: Now, click on the link called “Date sheet for Class X 2nd Board Examinations - 2026”
• Step 4: The compartment date sheet will open on your screen, which you can download accordingly.

CBSE 2nd Phase Internal Assessment 2026

The Central Board of Secondary Education has made it clear that there will be no repetition for internal assessments or practical papers during the second phase. You can only appear for the internal assessment once, and those marks will be carried forward for the second phase.

• Answer sheets will be distributed - 10:00 AM - 10:15 AM
• The distribution of question papers will begin after 10:15 AM
• The time to read the question paper is - 10:15 AM - 10:30 AM
• The time to start with the Exam is 10:30 AM

CBSE 2nd Phase Exam 2026 Fee Details

You will be required to pay the following amount of application fee to be eligible for the compartment exams:

CBSE 10th Compartment Exam Admit Card 2026

CBSE Class 10 Admit Card 2026 for supplementary exams will be issued separately. The schools will download and distribute the admit cards among the regular students. While the private students will have to download their admit cards from CBSE's official website. Candidates must have their admit card with them at all times when taking the exams, or they will be disqualified. This year, Admit Cards contain the following information: Roll number, Date of Birth (only for class X), Name of Examination, Candidate's Name, Mother's Name, Father's/ Guardian's Name, Name of examination center, Category of CWSN, Admit Card ID, and Subjects in which appearing with the date of examination.

How to Download CBSE 10th Compartment Admit Card 2026?

For regular students, the admit cards will be distributed through the respective school authorities; however, private students can follow the simple procedure given below to download the CBSE 10th Compartment Admit Card 2026:

• Step 1: You will first have to visit the official CBSE online portal at cbseit.in/cbse/web/pvtform/
• Step 2: Now, click on the option called “Admit Card”
• Step 3: You can search for your admit card through Application Number, Previous Roll no. and year, and Candidate name.
• Step 4: Select the option of your choice, enter the information, and click on “Proceed”. The admit card will open on your screen. You can now download and take a printout accordingly.

CBSE Class 10 Compartment Result 2026

The CBSE Class 10 Compartment Result 2026 will be released online. By visiting the official website, you will be able to check the compartment result. Enter your roll number and other necessary login credentials to check the compartment result. It will include the marks for subjects in which you appeared for the compartment exams. In addition, you will get information related to the student's name, the board's name, the parent's name, qualifying status, and more important details. You can also check the results through the DigiLocker or Umang app.

CBSE Class 10 Exam Marksheet 2026

If you score the minimum passing marks required in each subject during the CBSE class 10th compartment exams, you will be awarded with the marksheet. The board will issue the CBSE Class 10 Marksheet 2026 for students and provide them to schools. Through the marksheet, you will be able to check your names, subject-wise marks, total marks, division, and qualifying status. After receiving the marksheet, make sure that all the details mentioned in it are correct. If you come across any error in the marksheet, you should contact the school officials. Discuss the matter with them and write an application to the board. On your behalf, school heads will contact the board officials and get the marksheet rectified.
