CBSE Class 12 Exam Pattern 2023-24 - CBSE modified the exam pattern for class 12th students for the academic year 2023-24. The concentration of competency-based questions has been increased in the CBSE Class 12 Exam Pattern 2023-24. As per the latest changes released by the Central Board of Secondary Education, 40% of the competency-based questions will be there in the question paper. 20% of the questions will be MCQ types and the other 40% of the questions will be short answers and long answer type questions, based on constructive responses. Students can download the sample papers from the CBSE’s official website, cbse.nic.in. It also includes the marks distribution details for all subjects. Practicing with the sample papers and previous year's question papers will provide the students with the exact idea of the type of questions in the exam.

For the academic year 2023-24, the CBSE Board has announced the commencement dates, examinations will be conducted between February 15, to April 10, 2023-24. Exam patterns will help the students understand the types of questions that will appear in the board exams. The CBSE board has changed the exam pattern as per the new education policy. CBSE Class 12 Exam Pattern 2023-24: Changes Introduced

• Competency Focused Questions will be asked in the form of MCQs/Case Based Questions, Source-based Integrated Questions, or any other type = 40%
• Select response type questions(MCQ) = 20%
• Constructed response questions (Short Answer Questions/Long Answer type Questions, as per existing pattern) = 40%
