JKBOSE 10th Grading System for Internal Assessment
The JKBOSE Class 10 internal assessment follows a three-grade scale—A, B, and C. Students scoring between 14 and 20 marks are awarded grade A. A grade C in the internal assessment indicates that the student requires improvement. The detailed grading criteria based on marks obtained are provided in the table below.

JKBOSE 10th Grading System 2026: Passing Marks
Along with the
JKBOSE 10th Board 2026
result, the board issues an eligibility certificate to the students which mentions whether the student has cleared the JKBOSE class 10 exam or not. Students will need to acquire a minimum of 33% aggregate marks in all five compulsory subjects except for the additional or optional subjects. The JK Board has set a few mandates based on which the performance of the students who are studying in the JKBOSE-affiliated schools will be marked. The following are the criteria:
Students' performance of the half-yearly and annual exams while studying in Class 9 will be taken into consideration.
The internal assessments and assignments submissions are made throughout the year.
The marks of the practice tests will also be added, which are conducted in Class 10th. The maximum marks will be taken from the three practice tests for each subject.
JKBOSE Class 10th Issue of Mark Sheet and Certificate
The marksheets will be issued after the announcement of the JKBOSE Class 10 results 2026. Candidates who successfully pass the examination will receive their provisional and migration certificates. However, students appearing for improvement examinations—either to enhance their scores in one or more subjects or to pass additional subjects—will be eligible to collect only the marksheet. No new certificates will be issued to such candidates, and to obtain a migration certificate, they must complete the full course of study.

JKBOSE 10th Grace Marks Policy 2026
The Jammu and Kashmir Board offers a grace marks provision, allowing a maximum of 6 marks to be granted to students. If a student falls short by 6 or fewer marks in any subject, the required grace marks will be awarded to compensate for the deficit.
