CBSE class 12 Date Sheet 2023 has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education on its official website @ cbse.gov.in. CBSE 12th Date Sheet 2023 was released on December 29, 2023 via public circular. As per the CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet, the board exams will be held from February 15 to April 05, 2023. After releasing the CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet on Dec 29, 2022, the Central Board of Secondary Education released a circular stating that the CBSE Class 12 Exams which were falling on April 04, 2023 have been shifted to March 27, 2023. Rest, the date sheet remained unchanged. The CBSE also released an official notification where it mentioned that the class 12 Practical Exams are to be conducted by the school authorities between January 02 to February 14, 2023. The schools will be having the Internal assessments/ Project Work during this course of time. The date sheet for the CBSE Class 12 Practical Exams has to be released by the respective school authorities as per their convenience. Soon after the practical exams, CBSE will conduct the theory exams i.e. from Feb 15, 2023.

CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2023 - Important Points

CBSE 12th Date Sheet is released along with an official circular. The board released the official circular having the CBSE 12th Exam Dates on December 29, 2022. However, owing to a change, the board released the updated circular on December 30, 2022. There were a number of important points mentioned in the CBSE 12th Date Sheet 2023.

1. The board has made sure there is sufficient gap between two consecutive exams that a particular stream student would appear in. 
2. CBSE 12th Exam Dates have been set with a close scrutiny of the JEE Mains exam date and the board has taken care of the fact that the JEE mains exam and board exams have appropriate gaps between them. 
3. The board has taken utmost care while preparing the date sheet by avoiding about 40 thousand subject combinations ensuring that no two exams clash with each other.
4.  Releasing the CBSE 12th Date Sheet in December 2022 itself, the board has provided enough time for the students to prepare for the final exams in accordance with the CBSE 12th exam date.

CBSE Class 12 Board Exam Timing 2023

As per the CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2023, the timing for the Class 12 theory exams will be from 10:30 am to 01:30 pm. The students will have to enter the exam hall at 10:00 am. The question paper and the answer writing sheets will be distributed at 10:15 am. Students will have to start writing the answers at 10:30 am. Students are advised to maintain their speed while writing the answers as no extra time will be given. Answer sheets will be taken back soon after the clock strikes.

*The exam timing for the dance and music related subjects will be from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.

CBSE Class 12 Time Table 2023 - Exam Day Instructions

CBSE class 12 board exams play a vital role in future prospects of a student. Students need to take the board exam very seriously and perform well in order to get into a good college. By checking the CBSE 12th Exam Dates, students can organise their preparations keeping in mind the gap between two consecutive exams and other such aspects. The board will release the CBSE class 12 admit card about a week before the exams. The admit card is to be mandatorily carried by the students along with themselves to the exam center. The points given below indicates the important exam day instructions which are to be followed by the students to avoid any inconvenience and for smooth experience in CBSE class 12 board exams:

• Do reach the exam center at least 15-20 minutes before the reporting time, to avoid any last minute chaos.
• Carry your CBSE Class 12 admit card to the exam center.
• Wear a mask and follow the advisory laid by the government for Covid-19.
• Fill the attendance sheet, which will be brought to you by the invigilator before the exam starts, carefully.
• As per the CBSE norms, the starting 15 minutes have been assigned to read the question paper. Do utilise this time and read the questions carefully and thoroughly.
• Start writing the answers when you are told to do so.
• Write the answers neatly and avoid any overwriting as the examiners have to go through a lot of copies and any scrambled or over written answer will create a wrong impression over him.
• Maintain the decorum of the class. If you have any doubt, then raise your hand and ask it to the invigilators. 
• Do not carry any prohibited item to the examination hall. The list of these items has been mentioned on the admit card. These include any electronic gadgets like mobile phones, calculators, digital watches, bluetooth speakers, etc. 
• Students will only be allowed to leave the exam hall only after the conclusion of the exam.

CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2023 For Practical Exams

Along with the theory exam date sheet, CBSE also released the details about Class 12 Practical exam schedule. The board made a remark that CBSE class 12 practical examinations will be conducted from January 02, 2023 onwards till February 14, 2023. The schools will have to decide when to conduct the class 12 practical exams but they should necessarily fall within the mentioned dates. Therefore, each school releases its own schedule for CBSE Class 12 Practicals. 

CBSE Class 12 Practical exams for the schools based in winter bound regions were conducted from November 15, 2022 to December 14, 2022. This decision was taken by the board keeping in mind the scenario of the winter bound schools during January-February. For all other schools, the class 12 practical exams are to be conducted from Jan 02 to Feb 14, 2023. Within this time itself, other project work/ internal assessments will also be done.
