CBSE Class 12th Geography Chapter 2 - Human Settlements talks about how the form and size of settlement of any particular region reflects human relationship with the environment. Human Settlements is the second chapter in the second book of the syllabus: India People and Economy. This chapter has a total of 8 periods and the weightage will be three marks on the board question paper. According to the marks that it carries, this chapter can be deemed as one of the important chapters of the syllabus. The Geography paper will be conducted for 70 marks and these 70 marks are divided between two books. Each book will carry 35 marks.

To prepare for the paper, make sure to first download the latest syllabus as listed on the official website of CBSE Academics. You can prepare for the exam through creative mediums such as YouTube and online mock tests. Make sure to first complete your syllabus before practicing the sample question papers available online so that you can understand the questions easily.
Do not forget to also practice for the practical work because it will account for 30 marks. The marks obtained in both theory and practical will be reflected in your result and account for your total CGPA. The Central Board of Secondary Education has already released the date sheet for class 12th board exams on the official website. You can download the same to check the exam dates for all the subjects including Geography. According to the date sheet released by CBSE, the class 12th board exams will be conducted from 15th February 2025 to 4th April 2025. The exams will be conducted in the morning shift.
