The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the draft date sheet for Class 12 board Exams for the academic year 2025-26. The CBSE Class 12 Exam 2026 will commence on the first Tuesday after February 15, 2026, on February 17, 2026. The CBSE Board 12th exams 2026 will be conducted in multiple phases, with major subjects are scheduled on the fixed dates. Thus year, approximately, 20 lakh students will be appearing for the exam. About CBSE 12th Board 2026
The internals/practical exams will be conducted from 1st January 2026. The exams were conducted independently by the school authorities as per the CBSE guidelines. The detailed CBSE Class 12 date sheet 2026 will be released in November 2025 on the official website of CBSE. For the upcoming 2025-26 academic session, the Board has made some changes in the new education policy where there will be now more of competency-based questions than constructed response questions. There will be 50% competency based questions in the form of MCQs, 20% Select response type questions (MCQ), and 30% Constructed response questions (short answer/long answer type questions.
